Neurology - What we do
Chronic Migraine Headaches
Chronic Migraine is a distinct and severe neurological disorder impacting an estimated 3.2 million Americans and characterized by patients who have a history of migraine and suffer from headaches on 15 or more days per month with headaches lasting four hours a day or longer.

Here at Southeastern Neurology, we have the ability to treat your headaches in a variety of ways. Our physicians will take your symptoms into account and may send you for some testing which may include a CT scan or a MRI of your brain to see where your headaches are resulting from. You may have true chronic migraine headaches or may be experiencing what are known as "cluster" headaches. Treatments are similar for both types of headaches.

A new treatment that Southeastern Neurology is offering is the injection of the botulinum toxin, commonly known as BOTOX®. BOTOX is the first clinically studied prophylactic treatment to be approved by the FDA specifically for this condition. This new advance can offer migraine headache relief for almost 3 months!

Please make your appointment for a consultation today to see if we can help what ails you!
