Sleep Medicine - What we do
Sleep plays an important role in our everyday quality of life.  More so than we realize.  Other health problems we might have can be improved significantly simply by improving the amount and quality of sleep we get each night.

Our physicians are Board Certified in sleep medicine.  By using various non-invasive diagnostic testing such as overnight sleep studies and Electroencephalography (EEG) testing, our providers can help determine your current level of sleep quality and work with you on ways to improve it.

Sleep studies are the primary source of testing done.  In a sleep study, a patient spends the night in our Sleep Center.  Sensors are placed along the scalp and other areas of the body.  While you sleep, measurements are taken including brain activity, respirations and heart rate.  Combined, these results give the physican and idea of what happens when you sleep.  Sleep studies can be done at our Sleep Center.  Home studies are also available.  Ask your medical provider for more information.

Once the physician understands the cause of any poor sleep habits or decreased quality in sleep, they will suggest treatment options including medication, Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP) devices, weight loss or more.
